Mumbai, October 11, 2023: Godrej & Boyce has introduced the 'Conscious Collective,' a platform designed to extend sustainability efforts from corporate boardrooms to the homes and communities of professionals, including designers and architects. This long-term initiative by Godrej & Boyce focuses on driving design-led innovation for sustainable built spaces, the use of environmentally conscious materials, and environmental protection. Launching in December, the Conscious Collective platform will initiate with a three-day annual event celebrating individuals who are pioneering a more sustainable future. It will feature a showcase of innovative minds, a fellowship program to nurture ideas from young professionals, and an annual report promoting responsible choices.

“With a rapidly growing economy, India can set an example for the world by fast-tracking innovative design-driven solutions to champion sustainable living. It is crucial that now, all of us work together as a collective force towards meaningful and scalable actions to address the impending climate crisis”, said Mr. Jamshyd Godrej, Chairman and Managing Director, Godrej & Boyce.

Nyrika Holkar, Executive Director, Godrej & Boyce said, “Pioneering progress has been our purpose for over a century and currently our progress will be defined by how we are able to combat climate change by integrating sustainability in the core business and not as an afterthought. It is the 98% and not the 2% that can really push the needle to being net zero. We hope to bring together professionals and experts to foster ongoing dialogues that bring new possibilities to shape a more conscious future for our children.”

Godrej & Boyce has been actively incorporating Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into its business operations, demonstrating that development and conservation can coexist. The platform is dedicated to raising awareness and accelerating the transition to conscious living. Strategic partnerships with key professionals in various fields, including architecture, interior design, research, art, and design, reinforce the Conscious Collective's mission to promote sustainable living practices.Notable participants include Rahul Mehrotra, Anupama Kundoo, Brinda Somaya, Krittika Aggarwal, and other influential figures. Additionally, conscious brands like Phool, Carbon Craft, and Anuvad are also involved in this initiative.
