Bhopal, September 25, 2023. The Foundation for Reproductive Health Services India (FRHS India), an organisation that works with frontline workers to raise awareness on various family planning methods, safe abortion law and builds their capacity, conducted an orientation meeting today with Madhya Pradesh state government officials to promote the utilization of family planning services in the region. FRHS India's initiative in Madhya Pradesh encompasses the delivery of clinical family planning (FP) services through the Clinical Outreach Team (COT) model and the establishment of two clinics in Sagar and Bhopal. These clinics will offer safe abortion services and provide counselling and information to adolescents.
“We serve the most marginalized and most vulnerable clients via our outreach facilities; and we work with the government to help realize the SDG goals. Our capable teams follow all infection prevention mechanisms, are trained periodically to ensure high quality of care”, shared Ashutosh Kaushik, CEO, Foundation for Reproductive Health Services India-MSI Reproductive Choices. “We have internal quality control mechanisms and follow GoI and MSI global protocols to ensure that women and men get the best family planning services. It is an honor to mark World Contraception Day with the state government,” he further added.
The COT model involves a fully equipped team comprising a surgeon, nurses, OT assistant, counsellors, and an ambulance. This dedicated team travels to public health facilities, collaborating closely with the government under the National Health Mission to provide clinical family planning services to both women and men. FRHS India is committed to supporting individuals in making informed decisions about their family size and achieving their reproductive health goals.
