Group Legrand India, a renowned leader in electrical and digital building infrastructure, has began the application process for the esteemed 'Legrand Empowering Scholarship Program' for the upcoming academic year of 2023-24. This impactful scholarship initiative is dedicated to empowering deserving girl students, differently abled students, and transgender students from all corners of India.
With a steadfast commitment to social responsibility and a recognized certification from GEEIS (International Certificate for Diversity and Inclusion Commitment), Group Legrand India has consistently championed gender equality as a central focus of its initiatives. The inception of the "Legrand Empowering Scholarship" in 2018 marked a significant stride in actively promoting education among girls.
Since its establishment, this program has extended support to over 400+ girl students pursuing diverse fields such as Engineering, Architecture, Science, Technology, Finance, and related disciplines, within renowned colleges and universities across India. Notably, the scholarship initiative also reaches out to differently abled and transgender students, ensuring inclusivity and diversity in its impact.
Beyond financial assistance, Group Legrand India has taken a step further by introducing the Student Mentorship Program in 2022. This pioneering endeavor nurtures and grooms future women leaders by providing comprehensive mentorship, fostering confidence, imparting life skills, enhancing soft skills, and offering career guidance. With over 50 beneficiaries of the Legrand Scholarship having successfully completed their mentorship journeys, this program continues to thrive, welcoming new batches each year.
