Embassy Taurus TechZone joins forces for Eco-Restoration Drive with Indian Racing League

Thiruvananthapuram, November 24, 2023: Embassy Taurus TechZone (ETTZ) has partnered with the Forest Department, Government of Kerala (GoK), and Team Godspeed Kochi of the Indian Racing League to launch a unique eco-restoration initiative. 

As part of this endeavor, a tree will be planted for every lap driven by Godspeed Kochi during the 2023 Indian Racing League, with the plantation site situated beneath the Kazhakuttam flyover in Trivandrum under the Forest Department's supervision.

ETTZ is not only spearheading this eco-friendly initiative but has also undertaken the task of greening and enhancing the area beneath the Kazhakuttam flyover. Concurrently, the project collaborates with local communities to raise awareness on critical issues such as air pollution, road safety, waste management, and combating drug abuse by promoting sports as a positive intervention. The initiative also includes a partnership with Green Worms Eco Solutions, Kerala, to address plastic waste concerns through responsible recycling activities in the state.

Speaking on the initiative, Shri. R. Anil Kumar, Chief Operating Officer, Taurus Investment Holdings India Real Estate Advisory LLPsaid, “This is a one-of-a-kind campaign that has at its heart our responsibility to keep the environment green, combined with charting development and business in harmony with nature and in concurrence with our vision for Trivandrum.”

Shri Pugazhendi Palani, Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests at Indian Forest Service, GoK, said, “Conserving the forest's wealth for posterity is our prime responsibility. When a car racing team in Kerala joins hands with the Kerala Forest Department in the eco-restoration programme, they make a strong statement to the rest of the world. From speeding to greening, KFD and Godspeed Kochi are a team now.”
