Mumbai, November 20, 2023: Music producer Badshah marked the beginning of his birthday celebrations with a charitable collaboration with Feeding India, the country’s leading social impact organization.
Badshah spent nearly two hours at Rishi Valmiki Eco School in Goregaon, a school for lower-income groups supported by Feeding India under the Poshan to Pathshala program. Emphasizing the crucial role of nutrition in overall well-being, he actively participated in distributing homemade lunch, consisting of rajma rice and fruits, to over 500 children. Additionally, he pledged a donation of 10 lacs to the school and joined the kids in a performance featuring his radio superhit "AbhiToh Party Shuru Hui Hai."
This collaboration solidifies Badshah's commitment to being a Poshan Champion, working towards the eradication of hunger and malnutrition. It also supports Feeding India’s long-term vision to make India malnutrition-free. Badshah, the 38-year-old music juggernaut, has previously associated with Tata Memorial Hospital and Dharavi Dream Project for humanitarian endeavours and actively supports causes related to women and children.
Badshah said, “I’m grateful to Feeding India for giving me an opportunity to celebrate my birthday in a more meaningful manner. I am committed to working towards combating malnutrition but I will also encourage the youth to become catalysts for change and make India malnutrition-free.”
Feeding India, in partnership with Zomato since 2019, has served over 15 crore meals in over 25 cities through collaborations with credible NGOs and government partners. The Feeding India community mobilization program, initiated last year with the Feeding India Concert headlined by Post Malone, has now expanded to over 40 chapters nationwide, each led by dedicated volunteers known as Poshan Champions.
