New Delhi, January 24, 2024: In a new initiative aimed at fostering collaboration and celebrating the impact a collective can have, Social Venture Partners India (SVP India) hosted InspireX, an event that connected leaders from the social sector, philanthropists, and ecosystem enablers. It served as a platform for different stakeholders with a shared vision of creating a better world to converge, share insights, and explore opportunities for further collaboration.

The event, held at CHRIST (Deemed to be University) in Bengaluru, witnessed a turnout of 300+ participants. More than 70 SVP India partners, 40 NGO teams, and 100 ecosystem enablers attended the day-long event.

Govind Iyer, All India Chair, Sashi Rajamani, Bengaluru Chapter Chair of SVP India, and Dr. Fr. Viju P. Devassy, Pro-Vice Chancellor of CHRIST (Deemed to be University) opened the event with the welcome note. The event began with a keynote address by Anshu Gupta, the Ramon Magsaysay award winner and founder of Goonj, sharing hisinsights on civic engagement and agency-led rural development keeping dignity in focus. Next, the audience was taken on a virtual tour with 9 NGO leaders narrating their journey and the transformational impact created.

The next session, “Conversation with Donors”, was attended by more than 100 philanthropists and donors. The session was led by Anu Prasad (ILSS), Atul Satija (Give), and Govind Iyer (SVP India). Participants were encouraged to introspect on their giving journeys and find ways, as influencers in the donor system, to collaborate to create greater impact and bring more efficiency and accountability.

The second half of the day saw a full house in four interactive workshop sessions conducted by sector experts: Noshir Dadrawala (Centre for Advancement of Philanthropy), Sriram Venkatraman (The /Nudge Institute), Bhoopathy Pandarinathan (Swasti Health Catalyst), and Bobbymon George (Sattva Consulting).

The Department of Sociology and Social Work, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), aims to co-host similar events that will bring development sector stakeholders together and has expressed a strong interest in initiating SVP India’s Youth for Philanthropy program for their student engagement.

"InspireX was a true embodiment of SVP's mission, creating a space for our NGOs to connect, learn, and grow,” said Govind Iyer, All India Chair, SVP India. “We believe that by fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing, we can amplify the impact of their work.”

Sashi Rajamani, Bengaluru Chapter Chair, added, "The energy at InspireX was great. Seeing connections form, ideas spark, and collective action ignite was truly inspiring. We're confident that the echoes of this event will continue to resonate, driving positive change across our communities."
