Bhubaneswar, November 24, 2024: The Shambhavi Puraskar, established by the Bansidhar & Ila Panda Foundation (BIPF) in 2014, has announced an increase in its award amounts to further support social changemakers in Odisha. The main award will now include a cash prize of Rs. 5,00,000, up from the previous Rs. 2,50,000, along with a citation and trophy. The Jury Commendation Certification has also seen an increase, with the cash prize raised to Rs. 1,00,000 from Rs. 50,000, accompanied by a citation.
The award recognizes individuals who create significant social impact through sustainable and innovative initiatives. Selection is based on criteria such as impact, scalability, community participation, and the number of beneficiaries. Winners are chosen by an independent jury panel comprising experts from government, academia, industry, and media, along with a BIPF representative.
Applications for the 12th edition of the Shambhavi Puraskar are now open. Interested individuals can apply or nominate others at www.bipf.org.in.
