Sindhudurg (Maharashtra), February 12, 2024: Maharashtra Education Minister, Shri Deepak Kesarkar, has inaugurated the ‘Sampark Smart Shala Smart Blocks’ Program, a comprehensive initiative aimed at upgrading all government primary schools into smart schools in Sindhudurg District of Maharashtra.
The ‘Sampark Smart Shala Smart Blocks’ Program, spearheaded by Sampark Foundation, marks a significant step towards modernizing education infrastructure and enhancing learning outcomes in government schools. The program focuses on transforming schools into smart learning environments by leveraging technology and innovative teaching methodologies.
Under this initiative, Sampark Foundation will invest in various resources and training programs to support classroom transformation. One of the key components of the program is the installation of Sampark TVs in every school. These TVs are equipped with a wide range of educational content, including lesson plans, videos, worksheets, gamified assessments, songs, and stories. The content is meticulously curated to align with the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) textbooks for classes KG to Five, ensuring relevance and effectiveness in teaching.
Additionally, the program includes the provision of innovative teaching and learning materials (TLMs) designed to make teaching and learning more engaging and effective. Teachers will receive comprehensive training in the smart pedagogy of “Sahi Kram Sahi Dhang,” empowering them to effectively utilize the Sampark TV and other resources to improve learning outcomes.
The overarching goal of the ‘Sampark Smart Shala Smart Blocks’ Program is to enhance the quality of education in government schools and create a conducive learning environment for students. By integrating technology and innovative teaching practices, the program aims to make learning more interactive, accessible, and enjoyable for students.
Vineet Nayar, Founder Chairman of the SAMPARK Foundation, and other senior officials from the education department were present on the occasion. According to the officials, the launch of the program in Sindhudurg district marks the beginning of a transformative journey towards modernizing education delivery and ensuring equitable access to quality education for all students in Maharashtra.
The education minister expressed hope that 'Sampark Smart Shala Smart Blocks' initiative will help thousands of school children in the district. "I am delighted to see such a large-scale innovative program being launched in our state. With the expertise and dedication of the SAMPARK Foundation, I am confident it will be a success, around 5000+ children from Sawantwadi, Dodamarg, Vengurla blocks of Sindhudurg district will benefit from special program”.
Shri Vineet Nayar, Founder Chairman of SAMPARK Foundation said, “We hope to convert these 150 govt schools into smart schools, one smart block at a time, touching the lives of 5000+ children.”
“Smart classrooms will enable teachers to teach and engage with children through interactive learning. This has made the task of ‘teaching in the right way’ very easy and the learning environment in the classroom is energized with excitement,” he added.
The program will be closely monitored by state government education officers to ensure its successful implementation.
