New Delhi, June 7, 2024: LG Electronics India has celebrated the World Environment Day by organizing a series of impactful sustainability events aimed at fostering a brighter, greener future.
This year, LG Electronics continued its tradition of encouraging employees to engage in activities that benefit the environment and cultivate a sense of community responsibility.
The celebrations commenced on June 4 with an e-waste collection drive held at LG Corporate Office, KP Tower, Noida, employees enthusiastically participated by bringing in old gadgets for responsible disposal. Multiple e-waste management awareness sessions for people were held across India with LG's recycling partners, emphasizing the importance of proper e-waste disposal and management practices.
On June 5, the sustainability efforts continued with a Plantation Drive in Greater Noida & Pune manufacturing facilities. Employees were also encouraged to plant trees at their homes or localities with their families. Many shared photos on social media, raising awareness and inspiring others to contribute to a greener planet.
LG Electronics India also takes pride in its sustainable initiatives; the company is driving its e -waste EPR obligation in partnership with major recyclers across India.

Since 2021, LG Electronics India has developed and maintained a 3.1 KM green area in Greater Noida, along with a Miyawaki Forest with 12,000 plants, demonstrating a long-term dedication to environmental preservation.
