New Delhi, November 24, 2024: Hindware Limited, a leading bathware brand in India, continues its efforts to promote education and community welfare through the ‘Build a Toilet, Build Her Future’ initiative. Launched in 2020 under the #HygieneThatEmpowers CSR program, the initiative addresses the lack of adequate sanitation in rural schools, a key factor contributing to school dropouts among adolescent girls.
Collaborating with Pune-based NGO Manas Foundation and local communities, Hindware has constructed over 400 toilets across 120 schools in Delhi, Haryana, Roorkee, and Telangana. The initiative aims to provide girls with access to clean and hygienic facilities, enabling them to attend school without disruption. By the end of FY25, Hindware plans to add 100 more toilets, further benefiting thousands of students.
Highlighting the campaign’s impact, Sudhanshu Pokhriyal, CEO, Bath and Tiles Business at Hindware Limited, stated, “The ‘Dare to Dream’ theme this year reflects our commitment to empowering girls by addressing sanitation challenges. Every toilet built brings us closer to ensuring that girls can focus on their education and pursue their aspirations.”
The program also leverages social media to share stories of girls who have benefited from improved sanitation facilities, aiming to raise awareness and encourage further action.
Shashvat Somany, Head of Strategy, Somany Impresa Group, added, “As we mark the fifth year of this initiative, our focus remains on creating a lasting impact by empowering young girls to pursue uninterrupted education. We appreciate the ongoing support of our partners and communities in driving this effort.”
