New Delhi, December 04, 2023: Amrutanjan Comfy is expanding its initiative, Project Disha, to include 360 towns across Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, and Uttar Pradesh. This comprehensive extension seeks to impact 2.5 lakh girl students, building upon the success of earlier phases that raised awareness among 4.5 lakh girls in towns with populations under 10,000.

Initiative Overview:

Project Disha, anchored by Amrutanjan Comfy's menstrual hygiene brand, Comfy Snug Fit, is taking on a transformative role in addressing crucial aspects of women's health and empowerment. The initiative, now in its third year, has evolved into a multi-state endeavor, covering 10 states, 900 towns, 400 schools, and 100 Anganwadi centers.

Strategic Expansion:

This expansion signifies a strategic move to bridge the awareness gap in menstrual health and hygiene, particularly in regions where accessibility and affordability pose challenges. With a focus on 360 towns, the initiative is determined to dismantle barriers hindering women's access to essential menstrual hygiene products.

Direct Impact:

Project Disha, at the culmination of its third phase, is poised to have a direct impact on 7 lakh girls across India. By distributing sanitary pads and advocating for their usage over cloth, the initiative aims to instill the knowledge and resources necessary for good hygiene practices.

Educational and Societal Impact:

Recognizing the limited menstrual health awareness in various parts of India, especially in rural areas, Project Disha emphasizes the vital role proper hygiene plays in women's well-being. Beyond personal and educational benefits, improved women's hygiene can have broader economic implications, reducing healthcare expenses and enabling active participation in income-generating activities.

Community Collaboration:

Amrutanjan Comfy has collaborated with the Samvedana Development Society in the past, contributing to menstrual hygiene awareness in Uttar Pradesh's Hardoi district. Through education, access to quality products, and community-driven initiatives, the initiative envisions a transformative impact on communities, empowering women and creating a healthier future.

Mr. S. Sambhu Prasad, Chairman & Managing Director, Amrutanjan Health Care Limited, said, “Elevating women's hygiene transcends societal duty; it stands as a fundamental necessity. Fostering a robust and healthier society hinges on guaranteeing that the women in our communities not only have access to top-tier and affordable hygiene products but also receive comprehensive education on the subject. We acknowledge that the prosperity of our nation is intricately linked to the well-being of its women. Thus, our unwavering commitment is geared towards actively contributing to the realization of this imperative goal."

The company is steadfast in its commitment to inclusive growth, evident through its longstanding involvement in various social services. It actively participates in initiatives related to education for the underprivileged, preventive health, environmental protection, animal welfare, and women empowerment.
