Tata Power Delhi Distribution partners Delhi Skill Entrepreneurship University to impart skill-based training

New Delhi, Aug 20, 2022: Leading utility supplying electricity company Tata Power Delhi Distribution which serves a populace of 7 million in North Delhi has partnered with Delhi Skill Entrepreneurship University (DSEU) to nurture the new talent with skill development courses and programmes.

The company officials signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) recently with the University.

The MoU was signed by Mr. Dwijadas Basak, Chief- Customer Experience, Commercial & Social Impact Group, Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited and Mr. Ashwani Kansal, Registrar, DSEU in the presence of Ms. Neharika Vohra, Vice Chancellor, Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University and Mr. Rihan Khan Suri, Pro Vice Chancellor of Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University, Govt. of Delhi and other senior officials of the Tata Power-DDL and DSEU.

As per the MoU, both the organizations will work towards creating a pool of opportunities for the future workforce by offering them various advanced curricula. Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited will help faculty development for DSEU by providing its expertise in this field and curating quality programs, scholarships, industrial training, and emerging technologies in the power sector for the students. DSEU will support the introduction of advanced courses in specific trades for the beneficiaries of Tata Power-DDL’s vocational training centres running under its Social Impact (CSR) initiative.

Speaking at the MoU signing ceremony, Mr. Dwijadas Basak, Chief (Customer Experience, Commercial & Social Impact Group), Tata Power Delhi Distribution, said, “The throbbing social innovation framework at Tata Power-DDL aims to build bridges and support entrepreneurs in their journey by providing them access to the right kind of resources and imparting them skill based training to make them future ready. This association with DSEU is a step in the same direction.”

The Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University (DSEU) was established in August 2020 by the Government of NCT of Delhi to equip students with world-class skill education to enable access to aspirational jobs and inculcate entrepreneurial mind set and entrepreneurship. DSEU aims to create a win-win for the youth and the industry by filling the existing gaps in skill training.

The course curriculum offered at DSEU is inspired by industry requirements and helps graduates to be career-ready.
