Lucknow, November 16, 2024: Safe Society, a non-governmental organization committed to safeguarding children and vulnerable communities, is set to host the second edition of SAMAGAM 2024, a significant state-level summit addressing child protection and youth empowerment in Uttar Pradesh. The event will take place on November 20, 2024, at the Hotel Taj Mahal in Lucknow from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Organized in collaboration with NACG-EVAC India, with the British Asian Trust as co-host and TheCSRUniverse as event partner, SAMAGAM 2024 aims to unite stakeholders from government, NGOs, corporations, and grassroots organizations. The discussions will center around two core themes: Strengthening Child Protection through Gram Panchayat Development Plans (GPDP) and Empowering Children and Youth through Sports.
The summit will include an inaugural session followed by expert-led panel discussions. These discussions will explore the role of local communities in driving meaningful change for children and youth, with a focus on leveraging GPDP to enhance grassroots child protection mechanisms. Additionally, the summit will highlight how sports can be used as a developmental tool to foster resilience, teamwork, and leadership skills in young people.
By addressing these critical themes, the event seeks to provide practical strategies to enhance community engagement, strengthen procedural frameworks, and utilize Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) resources to support underfunded areas in child protection and youth services.
“This summit marks an important step toward building a more secure and supportive future for every child and youth in our communities,” said Mr. Vishwa Vaibhav Sharma, Director of Safe Society. He added that SAMAGAM 2024 aims to serve as a platform for stakeholders to co-create sustainable and impactful strategies addressing the needs of children and youth.
The event is expected to foster robust partnerships and spark dialogue that aligns with the developmental aspirations of communities across Uttar Pradesh. It is a vital step towards a safer and more empowered future for the state's younger generations.
