Mumbai, December 16, 2025: PPFAS Asset Management Pvt. Ltd. and the Centre for Transforming India (CFTI) have reinforced their long-term CSR partnership to improve access to quality education in rural Maharashtra. Over the past four years, the collaboration has supported more than ten remote Marathi-medium schools in Raigad district, benefiting over 2,500 students through upgrades to infrastructure, digital access and holistic learning facilities.
As part of the initiative, schools that earlier lacked basic amenities have been equipped with 28 computers, science laboratory materials, sports equipment, improved seating, ventilated classrooms, and safe, hygienic washrooms. The interventions aim to create dignified and inclusive learning environments for students from fishing and farming communities.
Programmes such as Shiksha Shakti have focused on enhancing career readiness through practical IT sessions, hands-on science learning and exposure to digital tools. Teachers have reported higher student engagement and motivation, while students have demonstrated increased confidence and curiosity toward learning. The initiative contributes to the achievement of SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities) and SDG 11 (Sustainable Communities).
Reflecting student feedback, Vidhi Mandavkar, a Class 10 student from Murud, shared, “Attendance is up, curiosity is alive, and teachers are more motivated than ever. Our school toilets were in poor condition, causing embarrassment. With your help, we now have clean facilities that ensure dignity and comfort.”
Mr. Shailendra Pandey, Chief Marketing Officer, PPFAS, said, “These classrooms have become spaces of opportunity and confidence for every child. At PPFAS, we view education as the most powerful driver of long-term change. Our partnership with CFTI allows us to ensure that rural students receive the tools and opportunities they deserve to shape a better future.”
Mr. Amit Deshpande, Chief Operating Officer, CFTI, said, “Our partnership with PPFAS is creating a tangible, lasting impact for rural students.” He further added, “Access to digital tools, safe classrooms, and hands-on learning is transforming their confidence, aspirations, and future opportunities. Today, CSR goes beyond funding; it’s about enabling long-term change, equity, and hope. Collaborations like these showcase the possibility of purpose-driven organizations working together to empower children in rural communities. We are very proud to help build a stronger foundation for thousands of young learners.”
Beyond infrastructure and digital access, the partnership reflects a shared commitment by PPFAS and CFTI to build resilient, future-ready communities at the grassroots level. Through continued collaboration, both organisations aim to ensure that children in rural areas have access to the skills, respect and opportunities needed to succeed, regardless of their geographic location.
