Gurugram, August 10, 2023: In a remarkable celebration of India's 75 years of independence, Literacy India, a trailblazing organization committed to catalyzing change through education, partnered with Dell Technologies to launch an array of transformative initiatives. These initiatives, designed to empower youth, particularly young girls and women, enhance skills, and create sustainable impact, embody a resolute dedication to education, innovation, and holistic development.

An emblem of collective progress, the collaboration unveiled an inspiring initiative named "Gyanrath - The Tech on Wheels," with the invaluable support of Dell Technologies' Gurugram volunteers. This visionary endeavor spotlights Sarita, the daughter of a daily wage earner, who will steer the Gyan-Rath to provide underprivileged children with tablets and laptops. Rooted in Literacy India's Gyantantra curriculum, the Gyan-Rath initiative harnesses the potential of the Gyantantra Learning Lab – a gamified digital platform that fosters critical thinking and problem-solving skills through interactive learning experiences. Additionally, it imparts coding training using the code.org curriculum.

Having spearheaded various digital education initiatives for marginalized communities, Literacy India's impact extends to over 3 lakh lives through its Gyantantra program. This initiative began with Dell Technologies' support, which contributed to the creation of a comprehensive four-hundred-hour multimedia program. With a prolific 15-year association with Dell Technologies, they collectively have touched the lives of youth and children across 18 states in India.

At the heart of this collaboration lies a collection of initiatives illuminating a promising future for underprivileged communities. The Literacy India's Future Skills Lab showcased empowered young minds equipped with cutting-edge skills vital for the modern world. The event facilitated an online connection between unique beneficiaries from EJM College-LehLadakh, blind beneficiaries from Jaipur, Rajasthan, and tribal youth of Nandurbar, Maharashtra, with Dell Technology Gurugram volunteers. Over the years, Dell's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Employee Giving programs have directly impacted the lives of over one lakh women and children.

Adding a theatrical touch to the celebration, a poignant street play titled "MuniyakiDuniya" depicted the inspiring journey of an empowered girl overcoming challenges. This compelling narrative resonated with the audience, highlighting the necessity to empower every child to break free from societal constraints. Dell Technology Gurgaon volunteers joined Literacy India children to create vibrant murals, capturing the essence of imagination and collaboration. These artworks stand as a testament to the power of partnerships in nurturing creativity and artistic expression.

The event also showcased the Tinkering Lab, fostering creativity and innovation among children. Participants delved into projects ranging from robotics to programming, creating innovative solutions such as Smart Dustbins, Smart Gardens, and even a Human Following Robot. These projects exemplify the impact of nurturing problem-solving skills and critical thinking in young minds.

“The Literacy Project undoubtedly stood out as a shining example of how education, arts, and vocational training can come together to create a transformative impact on a community. The dedication of the staff and the enthusiasm of the participants filled me with hope for a brighter future where talents are nurtured, knowledge is shared, and women are empowered to shape their destinies” said Archana Sahay APJ CSR Head - Dell Technologies /ESG/ Social Impact Leader.

As Literacy India and Dell Technologies join forces, their collective commitment to education, innovation, and empowerment illuminates a path towards a brighter future for all.
