New Delhi, September 25, 2025: Huawei Technologies India has partnered with Aahwahan Foundation to construct modern classrooms in government schools across rural Karnataka, aiming to bridge the education gap between urban and rural areas. The initiative is being rolled out in Kolkunte (Davanagere), Hirekeruru (Haveri), and Thuraganuru (Mandya), regions identified for infrastructure shortages.
The new classrooms are designed with spacious layouts, cross ventilation, and structural sustainability to create dignified and engaging learning environments for students.
Mr. Satish Hampali, Vice President, Huawei Technologies India, said, “We believe education is the bedrock of a progressive society. While the Indian education system is vast, challenges persist in rural areas. We're happy to help bridge this gap by providing resources (Infrastructure) for students in rural Karnataka. This initiative is a small but meaningful way for us to contribute to building a more inclusive and educated society. It's a testament to our commitment to sustainable development and empowering the next generation. We're proud to partner with the Aahwahan Foundation to support the Indian government's mission of making quality education accessible to every child.”
Mr. Braja Kishore Pradhan, CEO & Founder, Aahwahan Foundation, added, “At Aahwahan Foundation, we believe that education is not just a right, but the best instrument of social change. Together with Huawei Technologies India, we are addressing the root cause of educational inequality and lack of infrastructure by providing an environment to students in rural areas in which they can learn, grow, and thrive. This collaboration aligns with Huawei Technologies India’s CSR mission to develop communities and ensure inclusive growth.”
The partnership underscores both organisations’ commitment to inclusive development and sustainable educational change, with a focus on expanding access to quality education in underserved areas.
