Bengaluru, September 27, 2025: Biocon Foundation, the CSR arm of Biocon Group, in collaboration with Involve Learning Solutions Foundation, convened the Anekal Education Summit 2025: Vision 2030 at Biocon Park, Bengaluru, bringing together educators, policymakers, corporates, nonprofits, and government representatives to reimagine education in Anekal by 2030.

The summit aimed to create a roadmap for transforming Anekal into a model education block in Karnataka through collective action and innovation. Panel discussions explored themes such as collective action for a model block and education innovations, while an Innovation Spotlight showcased grassroots efforts improving learning outcomes in the region.

Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, Founder & Chairperson, Biocon Group, said, “The Anekal Education Summit is aligned with Biocon Foundation’s commitment to enable access to quality education and support community development. The summit reflected a shared vision to reimagine education by bringing together diverse stakeholders — government, corporates, nonprofits, educators, and communities. True transformation requires collective action, collaboration, and co-creation. If we can make Anekal a model for inclusive, quality education by 2030, it will inspire similar movements across India and demonstrate the extraordinary impact of united efforts.”

Dr. Anupama Shetty, Mission Director, Biocon Foundation, noted, “Anekal is emerging as a hub of educational innovation, with opportunities to deepen foundational learning, smoothen middle school transitions, and nurture future readiness. Through the Anekal Education Summit, we aim to bring together changemakers from across sectors to explore solutions rooted in collaboration and innovation. At Biocon Foundation, we believe education is the cornerstone of empowerment, engrained in science, enriched by innovation, and strengthened through collaboration, to ensure every child in Anekal is future-ready.”

Samyak Jain, Co-founder, Involve Learning Solutions Foundation, added, “Achieving a vision of an excellent education for every child is a highly complex problem, thus requiring more than just a single stakeholder to come together. It requires collective action with a clear overarching vision and a strong belief about keeping students at the center of decision making. We believe that the Anekal Education Summit will be the space that catalyzes this ecosystem.”

G. Gurumurthy, Block Education Officer, Anekal Taluk, emphasized, “To transform Anekal Taluk into a Model Block by 2030, we must strengthen our schools by improving infrastructure, expanding facilities, and addressing the shortage of teachers. Equal focus needs to be given to computer education, moral education, and sports. Several NGOs are already partnering with us, and we welcome more organizations to join hands in helping us realize the vision of making Anekal a Model Block by 2030.”

The summit concluded with a call for aligning diverse efforts to collectively advance Anekal’s education system as a model for scalable transformation across India.
