Triteertha

Since founded in 1969 as open air theatre Triteertha has been trying constantly to depict the rites rituals and way of life lived by the people of north Bengal specially who speak RAJBANGSHI dialect. we have staged played TAGORE,SATRE,DURANMAT,KLYST,BRECHT,KAMUS and also many other plays written by Sri Hari Madhab Mookher and many other member of the group.Sri Mookherjee is awarded Sangeet Natak Akademy award 2007 as director for life time achievement also many other state awards and felicitations by renowned groups Kolkata and north Bengal. We conduct workshops on acting singing and hold seminars on various aspects of art and culture are spoken of. We also take part in the activities of SWACH BHARAT program and conduct workshop with school boys of the remote village and district recently. We are working on with RAKTA KARABI re-transcribed by Sri Mookherjee in RAJBANGSHI dialect with a view to make it acceptable to the general mass. We also hold festivals with the group of north Bengal, Kolkata on our stage which was build in 1976 with auditorium green room and other facilities required for drama. We received salary grant from ministry of culture Government of INDIA since 2010-2011.
