The Khadi & Village Industries Association is a registered voluntary organization, registered under Indian Societies Registration Act 1860. , The Khadi & V.I. Association was established in the year 1992. , Objectives , The broad objectives that the Khadi Association has set before it are: , 1 The social objectives of providing employment, , 2 the economic objective of producing saleable articles, and , 3 the wider objective of creating self-reliance amongst the people and building up a strong rural community spirit. , Functions , The Association is charged with the functions of planning, promotion, organization and implementation of programs for the development of khadi & other village industries in the rural areas in coordination with other agencies engaged in rural development. , Its functions also comprise building up of a reserve of raw materials & implements for supply to artisans, creation of common service facilities for processing of raw materials as semi-finished goods & provisions of facilities for marketing of KVI products apart from organization of training of artisans engaged at the micro/Marco level & encouragement of co-operative efforts amongst them. To promote the sales and marketing of khadi or products of V.I. or handicrafts, the Association may forge linkages with established marketing agencies. , Balwadi cum Nutrition programme in the village Lalapur, District Allahabad. This Centre, with the help of playing materials, cartoons, indoor games etc. create healthy environment, creativity and awareness against the prevalent social evils, amongst the children. The target beneficiaries are in the age group of 3 6 years, are helped to join primary school to continue their education. , We also provide complimentary nutrition to these children s. , , Inculcation of Nationality & Integration: , On the occasion of Independece Day, Gandhi Jayanti & Republic Day
