i.We have undertaken several health awareness programmes such as mother and child health programme, adolescence problems awareness programme in schools and colleges, Cancer detection camps, Dermatological camps, AIDS and TB awareness camps, Diabetic detection camps etc. during the last 10 years in rural and slums of urban areas , ii.We have completed Trainers Training Camp for medical and paramedical personnel on Arsenicosis in different arsenic affected blocks of West Bengal sponsored by Ministry of Environment and Forest, Govt. of India. , iii.We have also performed National Environmental Awareness Campaigning programmes in rural and urban areas sponsored by Ministry of Environment and Forest, Govt. of India. , iv. We have completed Baseline survey and Socio-economic survey of the households in about 250 arsenic affected villages under 7 districts of West Bengal and 25 villages under Sahibganj district under Jharkhand state through the Project of Community based Project to Mitigate Arsenic Pollution in West Bengal sponsored by Indo-Canada Environment Facility (ICEF),New Delhi and All India Institute of Hygiene and Public Health,Kolkata. , v.We have also undertaken Socio-economical survey works and Local Economic Development works and Self Help Group training programmes in Serampore and Baidyabati municipal area under KUSP project. , vi.We are periodically doing Chemical and Bacteriological analysis of water sample collected from Serampore, Champdani Municipaliy. For this purpose we have many Resource persons and infrastructure in our organisation for performing this type of jobs. , vii.We are regularly publishing a health care report in the form of monthly newspaper SWASTHYA BHABNA MASIK.
