Special features of the organization

It(SABAI) is a no-governmental initiative working to improve the conditions of life and livelihood of the needy-mainly in the predominantly rural and economically weak people in different districts of West Bengal.Problems which plague our Society at large,mainly lack ofEducation,poverty,Unemployment,lac of Awareness regarding Health were the impetus behind the formation of the NGO. , SABAI-the Bengali word meaning ALL is presently engaged in different educational,health and income generation programme(with special emphasis on self-employment). , Working independently and collectively-the organization aspires to supplement and complement the Government efforts in these areas. , To build Awareness amongst the rural or semi urban youth regarding the present day socio-economic scenario,nature of employment,technological advancements and health Care, to equip the youth to face this changing scenario by impating various training to them and helping them to build career of their own,to provide Health Care Awareness,services and Basic Healthcare Amenities to the people at a minimum affordable cost a Vocational Training Centre namely Jyotirmoy Basu Voccational Training Centre(JBVTC) and a health wing namely Bishnupur Clinical And Diagnostic Centre (BCDC) have been set up. , JBVTC has been set up to run the STVT and Diploma courses under the Technical Education & Training Department,Govt.of West Bengal.Students from the conventional courses are getting trained in income generating activities at a very nominal cost. The students who have passed out have already found their way to earn in employment or in self-employment. Vocational Schooling has also been started in this Institute. , BCDC has been set up and it is participating in RSK/RSBY Projects of NHM in 8 Hospitals in the District of South 24 Parganas,North 24 Parganas and Kolkata in West Bengal.Also doing Public Private Partnership(PPP) Scheme of the State Govt. and providing Diagnostic Services to the Patients in 5 Hospitals in South 24 Parganas District at present. , More over,the Centre participated in MCTC Programme under RNTCP Scheme for Tuberculosis Patients in the district of South 24 Parganas.
