Special features of the organization
The TRUST directly or through its two other operating units e.g. VIVEKANANDA NETHRALAYA & AROGYO MULTISPECIALITY HOSPITAL are regularly providing services to the deprived, underpriviledged, poor rural folk belonging to the different backward classes including the categories of Tribal,SC,ST and other minorities apart from those belonging to general categories. Programmes related with Nation Building,Value Education, Development of Social Awareness, Community Health,Water Preservation,Pure Drinking Water, Forestry,Tree Plantation and Environment, Education of Girl Child, Science & computer Education etc., are regularly organised under the banner of the Trust. , Out-reach Camps for treatment and screening of various ailments and deseases related with Eye and General Health of the rural people are regularly being conducted by Vivekananda Nethralaya and Arogyo Multispeciality Hospital in different parts of the state of Jharkhand and West Bengal. OPD & IPD facilities for 7 days in a week are provided. 5000 eye surgeries & 300 other surgeries/year, apart from treatment of other physical ailments, are done.School health programmes are organised free of cost.Free Eye surgeries and distribution of spectacles are done regularly.Awareness programmes for Eye & other Organ Donation are organised for villagers and school children through Drama and Baul Song etc.Nearly 2000 school students of 40 primary schools have been examined and treated free of cost.Nearly 200000 rural people have been examined & provided treatment for different ailments, including eye & other surgeries performed on them, free of cost. Screening and awareness development programmes for Diabetes patients are done regularly.
