Sarba Shanti Ayog was set up with a vision to empower the marginalised artisan community through capacity building and market access. Sarba Shanti Ayog is an enabling platform for building Fair Trade Business at the grassroots level. Sarba Shanti Ayog renders services of technical assistance, financial access and social developmental of the producer collectives, NGOs and Social enterprises. The services are extended to new potential craft groups, small enterprises, Fair Trade organisations and development organisations with focus on livelihood promotion and enterprise development. The interventions, activities and services have resulted in increased capacities of the target groups, improvement in their assets, tools, skills and operational efficiency. It has eased their financial bottlenecks and provides access to timely and relevant information. The know-how inputs have resulted in better quality, lesser failures, new products, improved productivity all resulting in greater customer servicing. More importantly all these grassroots business have internalized and demonstrate transparency, participation, equity of gender, rights of the children and care for environment, working conditions and welfare. Enterprises serviced by SSA follow fair business practices, committed to produce sustainable, authentic and well-designed craft and food items and are sensitive towards resources, energy, pollution, effluents etc. They have been sensitized towards working for the welfare of its people. The unique and participative model has resulted in a strong network of producer associations and networks that self manage its affairs and constantly strives for excellence in servicing the customer and benefiting the communities.
