FOCUSSED AREA OF DRISHTI , EARLY INTERVENTION , PARENT COUNSELING , BEHAVIOR TRAINING , EDUCATIONAL ASSESSMENT , ANNUAL EVALUATION WITH REVIEW , FUNCTIONAL TRAINING , HOME BASED TRAINING TO DISTANT STUDENTS , & SEVERE CASES. , SELF HELP , OTHER SERVICES , COMMUNITY TRAINING THROUGH TOURS & FAIRS , ODER AASHA SELF HELP UNIT TO GENERATE INCOME , RECREATION EVENTS TO BRING JOY TO LIFE , EDUCATIONAL ASSESSMENT , An educational assessment mainly is helpful for monitoring the areas of learning like: , WRITING , COUNTING , JOININIG , TRACEING , POINTING , MATCHING , And various other skills relating to COGNITIVE DEVELOPMENT, PERCEPTION, COMMUNICATION, VISUALDISCRIMINATION, MOTOR DEVELOPMENT ETC. AND FOR SURVIVAL EDUCATION (LANGUAGE, MATHS, and G.K.) , HOME BASED TRAINING WITH PROGRAMME , Dishti offers home based training to children with M.R. and other special children because Drishti realizes the parent s difficulty to bring such children in regular basis to any centre as on the way the parents face hazards bringing them in public transport specially. Drishti never looks down upon severe and profound children instead provide home basedguidance looking into parents comfort. Apart from this if any guardians/parents require Home Guidance,Drishti is ready to reach to such parents in and outside of Kolkata. Drishti has served such children at distant places like Darjeeling, Bankura, Medinipur, various districts of West Bengal, in order to help families having challenged children. Drishti never hesitated for money. Drishti considers service is above money. , COMMUNITY AWARENESS , Drishti from the very start has observed Valentine s Day, 15th August, Disability Day and other special days of our calendar in the past years and it was followed by media coverage as a step to reach to the mass with the message that challenged kids & adult needs participation and involvement in such days and they are not away from our community. They seek Love and affection too on Valentine s Day after Saint Valentine. Drishti s each year arranges party on this day for them to enjoy their living in the community. Our message is LOVE THEM THEY ARE PART OF GOD S CREATION. , Through Annual Tour challenged came to light during and during their stay in the various places Drishti by God s grace met many good people like Shyamada of JAIRAMBATI , SwagataTalukdar, the hotel manager of Balaka(Bokkhali), the hotel manager of Nilima at Jairambati. Many common pupils were aroused to see such children at tour. They not only came to know about these children but they wanted to serve whenever required. Even the travel agencies were aroused and cooperated to their very best. West Bengal State Transport took Drishtichildren to Bakkhali. They provided several halts for on the way for their toileting needs. Here we are proud and blessed to have humble help provided by Sri Pavan Das a parent.It is nothing but a blessing to Drishti s attempt. , We are indebted to parents like Mr.Dutta, P.Raza ,S.Das and other parents to be beside community awareness programs of Drishti. , SELF HELP UNIT , The self help unit ODER AASHA clearly aims to seek an answer to their right to earn in future life after 18years. Every year Drishtiinvests rupees 5000/- for raw materials required for DIYA sale after puja. Drishti sincerely distributes the profit amount among the children equally who participated in production. , Drishti believes every individual has a right to earn and contribute to the community and these children deserve same. Drishti has seen the sparkle in the eyes of the children when the money was distributed. The happiness was immense and can t be measured. , JOY OF LIFE , Life is a balance of work and fun. Thus Drishti feels birthday of every child should be observed. During sessions of training often dance and music is allowed at Drishti twice every month for arousal and amusement. Valentine s Day through media coverage has enlightened many friends in the locality No other day could have been better to spread this message. , , Drishti arranges picnics to places like Kolaghat,Rajarhat just to provide joy to parents and children. , , , , , OUR FUTURE PLANS , A weekly club for children to enjoy games, magic show, music movies etc. , A shop or outlet in the heart of Kolkata, having branches other district of West Bengal engaged in selling only articles made by such children. , A Home for such children providing individual rooms to children with modern facilities and Individually Tailored. A well organize home is will bring peace to parents. , Drishti has a unique dream to involve children in and outside Drishti who are above 18 which Drishti feels will raise their self esteem and also Drishti considers their VOCATIONAL training will be fruitful when it will be applied in real life. These children are too man power of India if guided effectively. , , , , OUR ACHIVEMENTS , DOCUMENTARY , The first documentary the shots on 2010 directed by Sri SabyasachiBhowmik a young director. It was produced by Drishti the documentary covered mainly types of disability. Drishti deals with. The film was shown at the first short film festival at the Bangla Academy. The film festival started with DIFFERENT SOULS as the first film of the festival. , Later in the year 2016 CHALK a documentary was directed by Deep Ghosh. The Documentary focused on the rare qualities of this challenged children. Drishti took the effort for film for film a step was awareness. , , RAMP SHOW , Drishti by grace of God was invited at Park Street, where M.R. walked on Ramp. Drishti is always ready to any venture with these children. Drishti believes that it is duty of special school to guide and assist them to participate in any public show. This will helping mass awareness and also increase their self esteem. , CLUB OPENING (LOY) , Drishti by the grace of God met Nupr Gupta and Swati who allowed and provided assistance at her residence to officially inaugurated the club LOY in 2016 but due to lack of fun. This dream could not be executed in reality later. Drishti hopes someday Drishti will get some fund to rent a place to run the club effectively. The club will be exclusively for pupil (M.R and other special pupil) 18 years and above. The aim of the club is refreshment of these pupils who are debarred of basic right to weekend recreation like any other adult.
