Rangaloke founded in 8th January 1972. Propagating cultural and social awareness through theatre and performing art is the main objective of the group. The major activities of the troupe is listed as under , a. producing plays regularly, both short length and full fledged. , b. Participating in various State level play festival. , c. Organising theatre workshops on several aspects of performing arts , d. felicitating theatre personalities , e. Publishing yearly cultural magazine , , Some renowned plays that have been produced by the troupe are, Eskaboner Golam, Chalachitta Chanchari, Joy Baba Hanunath, Eka Nay, Saradiyo Shahazahan, Agnigarva Lena, Dahan, Antesti, Parash Pathar, Shekal Chhenra Hater Khonje, Samanya Khati, Bhusandir Mathe and many others. The troupe has earned many awards and honours in the cultural fields. Theatre personalities like Bibhas Chakraborty, Arun Mukherjee, Ashoke Mukherjee, Kamal Saha and others were felicitated by the group in different occasions. As a troupe registered under Society Registration Act 1961, it has regularly been satisfy the legal obligations successfully to get renewal in every year under the said Society Act.
