Power of Knowledge and Education

1. Literacy , This project aims to improve the reading, writing and basic arithmetic skills of children between 4-15 years. A strong pre-primary and primary education plays a pivotal role in laying a strong foundation for a child s intellectual and social development. We take morning and evening classes everyday and all our kids are first taught the basics of the English, Hindi and Maths irrespective of the age or standards. , , 2. Library , Our Library project is dedicated to late Dr A.P.J Abdul Kalam and aims at developing the habit of reading, creating a hunger to read books and providing the access to books to one and all. We plan to open a series of small libraries across different regions of Kumaun. The first in the series is already opened and operating at HimmatpuraTalla, Haldwani with more than 1000 books from all genres. The library is open to all people of all age groups and from all walks of life. , , 3. Learning , Our learning is not just restricted to academics. We strongly believe and follow the practice of involving our kids in all sorts of learning, fun based activities(dance, sports, drawing, meditation, yoga, crafts and the likes), skill and personality development. We give much importance to values, ethics, discipline, hygiene and service to Nation and its people. , , 4. Nutrition Mission , Our Saanjha Chulha initiative was launched to work on improving the health and nutrition standards of our kids. Their health has been long ignored and they often fall sick for long duration which affects their studies and daily activities. We provide fresh unprocessed milk to our kids with occasional variations of bananas, glucose biscuits, oatmeal, sprouts or any healthy stuff. , We also organize health check up camps and maintain and monitor health records of our kids.
