Special features of the organization

It has worked for updating the curriculum in different stages of study of history for more than three decades. It holds a regular three day annual conference in January. It also organizes four memorial lectures every year namely Ashin Dasgupta, Susobhanchandra Sarkar, Aniruddha Ray and S. Sabyasachi Bhattacharya Memorial Lecture and Samsad publishes Itihas Anusandhan, memorial lectures and other books.
