Natadha : Achievements & Major Activities , (1974 2009) , , Natadha, mainly concentrated on Regional Theatre Culture at Howrah District in West Bengal since its inception in 1974. Along with regular performances of plays from classics to modern dramas, Natadha, for generation of awareness and promotion of theatre, also conducts training, workshop, seminars, orientation camp, festival and weekly shows. Emphasising on Youth & Children s Theatre, Natadha has been continuing its Youth & Children s Theatre Wing successfully where a good number of youth and children are being trained-up on all-out theatrical activities along with regular performances. , , Major activities during 35 years of journey , , 1. Produced over 50 Classical & Modern plays such as : Raktakarabi, Julius Caesar, Raja Pentheus, Bali, Phool Phutuk, Nasto Keno, Mahabharata, Palashi, Shakuntala, Ebong Socrates, Lav-Kush, Karna Ekhon, Reality & others. , 2 Running a youth-wing to aware and motivate the youths in theatrical activities. , 3. Running a children-wing viz. Mukti-Nikai for regular training & performance by a good number of children (about 30). , 4. Initiated a Children s Library. , 5. Produced 4 Joint productions assembling the renowned Theatre-Directors of Bengal as well as the energetic actors of different groups of which Mahabharata achieved Best Director s Award in 2003. , 6. Build up a regular theatre centre viz. Natyakendra at Ramgopal Mancha, Howrah where Natadha & other groups perform weekly since 2006. , 7. Conducts a 10-days popular theatre-fest Janapriya Nataker Mela each year since 1998 at Sarat Sadan, Howrah (a big auditorium of 1200 audiences) in the aid of poor-ailing theatre workers. Till 2009, more than Rs. 4.00 lacs could be contributed for the purpose. , 8. Assisting in publication of the only Bengali Weekly Theatre journal Prati Brihaspati Natya Mukhopatra for the last 14 years. , 9. Honours the Theatre Dignitaries as well as the Back-Stage Creators in a regular manner. , 10.Also arranges programme and participates in many activities on social aspects, natural calamities etc.
