Some of Our present fields of activities , , Arsenic Free Safe Drinking Water at Schools , Water and Sanitary Hygiene including Menstrual Hygiene of Adolescent Girl Students , Basic Literacy & Education for Seasonal Migratory Children of migratory Brick Kiln workers at Brick fields , Prevention, awareness and control programme in HIV/AIDS , In TB programme Awareness, Filed Surveys and Patient Referral and Tracking , Sustainable and Organic Eco-friendly Agriculture Promotion , , Major achievements in few years , , Naihati Prolife with WFP India and United ways Kolkata implemented WASH program in 59 high schools and 119 primary schools of manyblocks of both 24 Parganas and Nadia district of West Bengal , Main focus of WASH program was construction of facilities to access safe drinking water and toilet blocks round the year with safety dignity and privacy particularly for the girl children , Menstrual hygiene was our key focus area where adolescent girls student study , Regular hygiene education sessions for effective sustenance of the sanitary facilities , , This yielded , 62 percent Primary and 86 percent secondary level students reported they always wash their hands before and after taking meals and using toilets , Within 1 Year boys Habit of open field urination decreased from 39 to 2 percent , Toilets are always kept clean by the students , The WATSAN Committee of students played as sustainable agent to these facilities , Within 1 Year Girls Absenteeism during Period downfrom 67 to 14 percent , The drinking water stations toilets etc designed and built by us took into cognizance both aesthetic point of view and what the children prefers , Girls Change Rooms installed to maintain hygiene dignity and ensure privacy which decreased the absenteeism , , HIV/AIDS , Our team is one of the oldest and closest partners of WBSAPCS since its inception by GOI , Since 1995 Our work in this field acknowledged by DFID UK and funded us since 1999 , With the help of WBSAPCS and NACO we have worked in municipalities and rural blocks in two districts among FSWs and clients along with truckers and migrant workers , , Major achievements , , Promotion of 10 million of male and 100 thousand female condom as part of safe sexual practices , Provided STI syndromic treatment among one lakh patients of high risk groups , Prevented around one million STI within 12 years of services , , STOP TB , , As a partner of the CARE INDIA German Leprosy and TB relief Association of India we worked for the 6 Tuberculosis Units , Provided DOTS to nearly ten thousand people , Provided awareness nearly one million people , , Education Issues , , Literacy and anti drug therapy programme for platforms children and orphans produced excellent results , The DRM of Eastern Railway was so very pleased thereby arranged a Railway Quarter to continue services , we took literacy drives and education towards children of seasonally migrant labourers at the brick fields with Sealdah Loreto Day School and KMWSC to provide education nearly 2000 brick field children reached during last six years , , Naihati Prolife has conducted workshops with farming communities on , pest control by means of friendly insects , Vermi culture promotion for soil remediation etc
