Padatik was formed in Lakshya, Purba Medinipur in 2008 by a group of progressive students. Our main aim academicians and local intellectuals to popularize the idea of experimental theatre and involve common people in theatre. , Padatik reckons that theatre is not just a medium of joyful and creative expression of self, but it also brings about awareness of one s own self and of one s immediate and larger environment. , Padatik believes in the power of theatre in attacking widespread social injustice. During the past three years, Padatik has performed in the small towns and villages of West Bengal, Uttarakhan, Delhiand as well as in all India. , Our major performances on behalf of your Purba Medinipur(West Begal) District are Disaster management, MGNREGS, and Consumer Forum Awareness programme.
