Special features of the organization

Kumaun Grameen Udyog (KGU) was set up as a Section 25 Company in June 1996 (the status has now changed to section 8 as per Companies Act 2013). This social enterprise works on providing sustainable livelihoods in the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand. The organisation does this through crafts and agri-products and works with over 350 artisans (all year round) and 600 farmers (seasonally).
