Kayadanga Sabuj Sanskritic Kendra

KAYADANGA SABUJ SANSKRITIC KENDRA is a theatre organization, who has been working since 2004. We are not only doing the theatre but also have organized many workshops, projects, and national theatre festivals. Most of the team members are students and some of them are passed out students of RabindraBharati University (Drama Dept.). The director of this team is Rajesh Debnath who has not only completed his M.A. on direction from R.B.U. but also he has completed the direction workshop of N.S.D. , KAYADANGA SABUJ SANSKRITIC KENDRA have a theatre institute, where we take classes on acting improvisation, body movement, mime, voice modulation and some other knowledge about theatre. We also have a children team with 15 children and a branch with 10 members. Every year we organize a national theatre festival, in which many well-known theatre groups as well as many well-known theatre personalities have attended the festival and given their valuable support. Mainly we work in Kolkata, north 24 parganas as well as in West Bengal and also out of Bengal. Though we are doing mainly proscenium theatre, but have already done two non-proscenium theatres by which we proved our good work. We have done workshops under Goutam Halder, Adrija Dasgupta, Ashis Chattopadhyay, Om PrakashKarna, Subhadip Guha and etc.
