Special features of the organization
By comprehending the multi-pronged problems and the need-based demand & just aspirations of the rural vulnerable and marginalized sections at the grass-roots level, in and around, Kamdebpur Village under Magrahat-II Block in the prioritized backward South 24 Parganas district of West Bengal- a group of enterprising youth, under the stewardship of ever agile Dr. A.Jaman formed this voluntary organization, by name, Kamdebpur Rural Development Society (acronym being KRDS), way back on 1st January, 1984 with an aim to mitigate the sufferings of the marginalized ones, at the grass-roots level, through relentless engagements in multi-dimensional community developmental activities, on a sustained way. , , Vision- Ensuring attainment of upward status in Societal & Human Developmental Index (S.H.D.I). , , Mission- Organizing, facilitating, conducting, implementing, executing multifarious sustainable community development activities, through People s Participatory Approaches (PPA) with the assimilation of local, internal, external and human resources backed-up by appropriate technology. , , Current & past activities: , Main activities of the Organization , Comprehensive health programme. , School of Nursing programme under NRHM /GOI. , SGSY & SHG formation and micro-credit activities. , Skill orientation training. , Creche programme. , Balwadi programme. , Women empowerment. , Community sensitization programme. , Organic farming. , Income generation programme., etc. , It bears recall that the organization has enriched experience in conducting skill orientation training in different disciplines & achieves the success to get employment opportunity for the youth & women beneficiary , (i) EDP training, Ministry of Food processing, GOI. , (ii) Primary level food processing & preservation training at different blocks in South 24 Parganas, North 24 Parganas & Malda District with Department of FPI & H, Govt. of West Bengal. , Initiation of SOYA NUGGET Manufacturing Unit for facilitating rural women s livelihood process on a sustained way. , (iii) Leadership training amongst the SHG leaders. , (iv) Paramedical courses being approved by West Bengal State Council of Technical Education, Govt. of West Bengal. , (v) School of Nursing training under NRHM, Department of Health & FW, GoWB. , (vi) Consumer awareness and FBP training of Department of Consumer awareness & FBP, GoWB. , (vii) First Aid, Hygiene & sanitation, Home Nursing, St. John Ambulance Association. , (viii) Condensed course training, CSWB, New Delhi. , (ix) Readymade garments training & BOP under SGSY-DRDC programme. , (x) Ambulance service for the poor & marginalized people. , (xi) Awareness on environmental issues at village level.
