Special features of the organization

The group Kalyani Kalamandalam was established in june 1995 by a group of energetic and creative mined young fellows who are exploring new directions in theatre. Our group members are energetic and creative minded artist. Our aim is to create a new theatrical language in Indian Theatre. The group has spread its activities in various ways such as drama, theatre workshop, childrens theatre & festival, publishing theatre magazine, organizing open air theatre festival. Some of the major theatre productions are Ebong Indrajit, Dhorai Charit Manas, Romeo Jeannette, Malua Sundarir Pala, Manushi, Paglir Danga & Oedipus. We have participated in the major theatre festivals like Bharat Rang Mohotsab, National Theatre Festival-Mumbai, State Theatre Festival, National Theatre Festival-Amritsar & International French Drama Festival-Dhaka. We are responsible towards our work today, tomorrow and forever.
