The Society is registered under Society Registration Act 1860 and society was working since 1991 in the area of Uttarkashi District which is spread 8.016 sq kms. With of a total Population around 3.50 lakes out of the total Population the male is around 55% while the female Population. Around 45% backward communities are around 23.7% The Whole Uttarkashi District is situated in Himalayan Region and is Susceptible Climates, During the year 1991 a Major Earthquake Affected the Entirely District. There Was a Heavy Loss of Human Lives. At this time of Situation JANJATI MAHILA KALYAN AVEM BALOTHAN SAMITI come forward for resul operation and provided a spirit among Energetic Youth to take up Assistance cum Rehabilitation Activates. , For over more then Twenty Years the Samiti has been working for the Welfare of Children Destitute women and uplifment of Down Trodden to make them Self Sufficient and Dependent During the Year 2012-13 the samiti took up the Following Programmers. , 1. Women Awareness Generation Program , 2- Environ Other Activities , 3- Angora Wool Sector Programme.
