MAJOR ACTIVITIES: , OUR MAJOR WORK AREA HAS BEEN IN THE FIELD OF MENTAL HEALTH. WE WORK THROUGH 7 PROJECTS AIMED AT RESTORING THE DIGNITY OF PERSONS WITH PSYCHOSOCIAL DISABILITY. , NAYA DAUR - Community based Outreach Programme from 2007 for homeless persons with mental illness by providing interventions through medicines, nutrition care & psychosocial interventions. , DIC - Day Care centre for providing psychosocial interventions to street clients since 2009. , AROGYA - Emergency hospital services for homeless persons with psychosocial disability since 2010. , SARBARI - Special shelter for urban homeless women with psychosocial disability since 2010. , SAMBANDHAN - Urban Mental Health & support services run in collaboration with Municipality Wards Primary Health care units. , MARUDYAN - Shelter for homeless men with psychosocial disability since 2015. , RESTORATION UNIT - Focusing on client tailored vocational and literacy training, livelihood & home-based or community-based resettlement , MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS: , 1) HUDCO AWARDS for Best Practices to Improve the Living Environment. , 2) STATE AWARD for Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities 2016, in the category of Outstsanding Institution.
