Indian Water Resources Society

IWRS is a professional body dedicated to work for advancement and development of water resources in the India. It publishers a quarterly issue of technical journal named as Journal of Indian Water Resources Society It is circulated to all its members (7650 members from all over the country). It organizes national and International conferences, seminar, workshop etc. from time to time on specific topics for discussion and dissemination of updated knowledge and technology in the field for water resources development and management, Other activities of the society are to undertake research, planning, development, education and training in the field of conservation and management of natural resources namely water- , , (i) The advancement of research, planning, development, management, education and training as well as establishment of a common meeting group for physical, biological and social scientists, engineers and other persons concerned with water resources. , (ii) To undertake research, planning, development, education and training in the field of conversation and management of natural resources namely water. , (iii) To undertake research, planning, development, education and training for optimal use of water for rural development. , (iv) To provide a focal point for the collection, organization and dissemination of ideas and information relating to the broad spectrum of water problems. , (v) To provide necessary forum for communication in water resources science and technology through its meetings and publication.
