Indian Council of Small Industries is one of the most representative federal body of Micro and Small Enterprises. the principal object of the organisation is to enhance employment opportunity through self employment. so far, the organisation has imparted training on enterpreneurship development and vocational training to approximately 17000. also organises seminar and symposia to create awareness on the need of self employment, IPR, ISO9001, Need for technology to compete in open market. , the programmes are done under sponsorship of Planning Commission, Ministry of MSME, HIandPE, FPI, Sand T, NRDC , also in the state of WB under under Dept. of Food Processing and Horticulture condfucted training programmes for women SHGs in the districts of at Panchayat level. so far in three districts the programmes are conducted.
