Special features of the organization
GOBARDANGA RUPANTAR has been a pioneer of social activities since 1973 whose objective is to produce and enact dramas with the help of young and energitic participants.The themes highlight social elils and public enlightment caused thereby.The various other activities include arranging seminers, Festivals,Theatre Workshop, Exhibitions and Training Programmes. , Gobardanga Rupantar have staged Dramas, at Kolkata in various wellknown Theatre Halls like Rabindrasadan,Purbasree(E.Z.C.C.),Academy of Fine Arts,Sisir Mancha,Minarva Theatre,Bijan Theatre, Kasi Biswanath Mancha,and also at Suri Rabindra Sadan,Allahabad Bengali Recreation Club,Lucknow Bengali Club Hall, Gobardanga Town Hall, Ashoknagar Sahid Sadan, Barasat Rabindra Bhavan & Sudhi Prodhan Mancha, Basirhat Town Hall, Halisahar Binodini Mancha etc. , Gobardanga Rupantar have Produced 22 Full length Drama like Sajano Bagan,Surya Shikar, Chalachitta Chancari,Sashti, Dakgarh,Achalayatan, Badnam etc.,16 Short length Drama like Haradhaner Dashti Chhele, Michil, Pakhi, Lathi,Rupantarer Goppo, Rupkota Noi, Swapanpurer Pthik, Simanta Santras, Chhuti etc. & 8 Childern Drama like Lanka Dahan Pala, Ankamalar Deshe, Jay Baba Hanunath, Cham cham kumar,Ha-ja-ba-ra-la,Tasher Desh etc. , Gobardanga Rupantar also organised Seminers(financially Assistance by The Ministry of culture, Govt.of India), Theatre workshop & Rupantar Natya Utsav (every year since 2001-02) and Published a Book Bengali Theatre of last Five Decades of the Previous Century with financial assistance by the Ministry of culture, Govt. of india. , Gobardanga Rupantar performed Dramas in response of invitation from Natya Akademi, (Ministry of Culture,Govt. of West Bengal) at Natya Mela-Kolkata,Rabindra Sadan (Suri),Sudhi Prodhan Mancha (Barasat)etc. & invitation from E.Z.C.C.( Ministry of culture, Govt. of india.) At Purbasree (Salt-Lake).Gobardanga Rupantar is awarded by different organisation like Sudeb Saha Smriti Samman, Sanglap Award, Shipayan Samman, Gobardanga Theatre Fedaration Samman etc.
