DIAMOND SILK KHADI SOCIETY, having its address at vill. & P.o- Sujapur in the district of Malda, W.B. was established in the year 1980-81 by getting registered with the Registrar of Firms Societies & Non Trading corporation, West Bengal, Regd. No. S/31201 of 1980-81 and subsequently got certified by Khadi & V.I. Commission, Mumbai vide its certificate No. S/3566. The society has 9 members in its executive committee with the secretary as its administrative head. The Institution presently has been working in 4 districts like Malda, Murshidabad, Birbhum and also South Dinajpur with about 450 Nos. rural artisans and engaged in the production and sale of Silk & Muslin khadi selling out in and around many states of India, mostly at the state of Kerala, Rajasthan. It has been certified by ISO 9001:2008 and got National Award in the year 2008 and 2014 for its performance. The society obtained Bank Finance and smoothly working in remote village with the poor rural artisans. It is famous for its splendid activities and by degrees expanding its activities. The artisans working under its fold are satisfied with wages for timely payments together with Bonus and Kolyan Kosh. For this year KVIC has fixed up target Rs. 5.00 Crore production under Silk & Muslin khadi Production.
