Special features of the organization

DGAS has conducted ABC programs, animal rescues, mobile treatments and veterinary camps in Kalimpong and Darjeeling and outlying villages since at least 1998 and also has animal shelters in Kalimpong & in Darjeeling. Since DGAS began functioning the health of the street dogs has improved dramatically and the dog populations have stabilized. The frequency of Rabies has reduced.
