CALCUTTA SOCIETY FOR ENCOURAGEMENT OF EDUCATION AND DEVELOPMENT

Calcutta Society for encouragement of Education and Development (Calcutta-SEED) was registered as a charitable society under the W.B. Societies Registration Act 1961. It was started mainly to support the education of under privileged children through a sponsorship programme in which many of the friends of the society from abroad were ready and willing to help. Over the years the number of foreign donors increased and many children were helped in their education. With support from other donor agencies Calcutta-SEED also has undertaken developmental activities like building houses for those suffered from natural calamities, youth development etc
