BARUIPARA NRITYALOK

Nityalok, a socio cultural institution dedicated to dance, which founded in 15thDEC 1999,by SUTAPA AWON PRADHAN, to preserved, promote and propagate, Indian rich cultural traditions and heritage. The institution runs on the tradition of the Guru Sishya Parampara of ancient India, where the Guru or teacher the Shisya or student share special bond. Nrityalok main focus areas is the teaching of bharatnatyam Dance.It is also imparts training in Rabindra Nritya, Creative dances, Folk Dances and Joga. Through this various dance style Nrityalok has composed different type of dance drama likeMOHUA SUNDARI, SAJU RUPAI KATHAKATHA, MAGHBALIKA, TASER DESH, MUKTI,ARDHANARISWAR and ORA KAJ KARA. The Productions has been made in collaboration with Department of culture, Govt of INDIA, Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre, State music academy and has been performed in various Dance Drama festivals . Besides this production making and tanning Nrityalok also concentrate on lecture demonstration for cultural awareness. Teachers and experts has given lecture demonstration at I.I.C DELHI, Dhaka University Bangladesh, Mahatma Gandhi Institute Mauritius South Africa and also organized lecture demonstration at Kolkata and other state of West Bengal. Within last ten years has participated major dance festival like Uday Sankar Dance Festival, Sangeet natak academy dance festival, Pragati Maidan Trade Fair, Rajya hayaiya utsab, Balijatra festival, Sankardev Kalakhatra Assam, Incredible India Singapore,Duars utsab, Tea garden utsab,Prativa utsab , Nritya natya festival etc. Last five years nrityalok is also arranging a summer camp and theatre workshop in kolkata and Midnapur for children. Young students of Nrityalok have participated in Dance Festivals organized by the Zonal cultural centers, West Bengal dance group federation, where their performances have been highly appreciated.
