ASHI WB works for rehabilitation of distressed under priviledged and exployted womwn seeking an escape from opression and exploitation in their life During the span of yearsits activities have been extended to manifold it renders services through Family Counselling Centrre Short Stay Homes Working Womens Hostel Old Age Home ICDS Training Centre Canteens and other Vocational Trainings conducted that is Sevika Pathology Computer Beautician Tailoring and Embroidery etc for the said activities ASHI WB achieved the Award of NARI SAMMAN in 2015 Our Family Counselling Centre is working in and around Kolkata and 24 Pgs South It renders services to the Community people by taking both the curative and preventive alongwith creating public opinion through various Awareness Generation Program FCC deals with various type of family problems like marital premarital maladjustment family conflict Domestic Violence Shelter Problem adolescence problem psychological problem behavioural problem old age probleme conomic problem property dispute etc affect famial harmony and create social problems Under preventive services FCC organise Awareness Generation Prog Group Meeting in rural slum and urban area in its jurisdiction on violence against women and PWDV Act 2005 other related Laws child marriage Female feticide Safe Girl Child Legal literacy Women Empowerment through Self raliance Role of FCC for Family Health 2015 16 FCC could render services to 990 beneficiaries Under curative services FCC dealt 81 newly registered cases alongwith 30 pending cases and could solve 89 cases through counselling negotiation legal consultancy and referral services as needed for the clients under preventive services FCC organised 15 AGPs , with 636 ICDS workers different districts of WB and other Community people of south 24 Pgs The Counsellors provide services as Service Provider under Sub section 1 of section 10 of PWDV Act 2005 FCC prepares Publicity materials like Posters leaflets on its activities and related issues FCC made a strong network with various section of GOs and NGOs like Police Mass Media Centre for Advocacy and Research All India Womens Conference West Bengal Commission for Women etc
