About Job Profile

Research and Field Work

Department of Health Promotion is one of the units within Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) primarily focusing on Original Research; Advocacy; and advancing support to the Indian Government at National and various State levels in strengthening capacity, policies and evidence for health promotion.  The specialized target areas of unit are Tobacco Control; Alcohol Control; and Adolescent Health Promotion with emphasis on sound evidence-based strategies, well-planned approach to implementation and evaluation.
 

Primary Responsibilities include

 

  • To support VP (Research and Health Promotion) in Research coordination and technical activities
  • To Assist Research Admin correspondence and Activities
  • To fully manage the Institutional Ethics Committee Secretariat under the guidance of the Member Secretary
  • Conduct a review of literature, evidence synthesis and assist in manuscript writing
  • To prepare need based presentations and update data, slides and factsheets
  • Contribute to developing Institutional Annual Report and Review of Research Vision
  • Support in writing Research Proposals
  • Liaison with the study teams and PIs on behalf of VP (Research)
  • Any other activities as required for Research Division and Research Administration
  • Contribute to report and manuscript writing
  • Travel as required.
  • Any other task assigned by VP (Research) pertaining to the above role.
