About Job Profile

Project Management/Coordination

VKPL is committed to sharing its research, field-level findings, and developmental strategies with policymakers, donors, NGOs, and implementing agencies. The central research themes of the lab include problems related to livelihood strategies, decentralization and governance, empowerment of women, financial inclusion, the relationship between rural households and markets, provision of public services, and the impact of rights-based schemes and programs. This role will give an opportunity to work on multiple projects that relate to these themes with an equally diverse clientele.

Primary Responsibilities include

Content provider

  • To write creative, exciting content about new VKPL research, as well as outcomes and impacts of on-going or past research.
  • Write and edit content for a variety of communication vehicles and audiences, including the VKPL website and Corporate Research Partnerships site, Office of Research intranet, news releases, and print publications.
  • To identify and highlight the work of VKPL initiatives and research outputs in order to enhance the profile of the lab on the national and regional level, particularly through the media and digital channels.
  • Ensures accuracy and effective messaging as well as adherence to brand compliance and IRMA style
  • Timely submission and drafting of different communications and reporting requirements, as well as research deliverables, such as performance reports, success stories, training reports, social media messaging, and research and analytical reports.
  • Maintains an up-to-date collection of research communication materials (i.e., print and digital materials including time-sensitive brochures and PowerPoint presentation)
  • Update and develop new print and digital communications including reports, brochures, posters, e-invitations, and graphics.

 

Event Management

  • Plans, promotes, and implements the Research Talks speaker/panel series, lecture series, and seminars which includes logistical details and development of a suite of promotional materials.
  • Supports a variety of research events including research networking initiatives.
  • Digital communications.
  • Ensure VKPL’s research presence is reflected on LinkedIn and other professional networking sites.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Freshers as well as candidates with 1-2 years of work experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Exposure to Content creation and design tools, Video making tools, Data reporting and analytics tools, and Digital asset management tools are desirable.
