About Job Profile

Research and Field Work

As an Research Associate/Associate Fellow, you will be a mid-career research professional playing a crucial role in project execution and development within the field of agriculture.

Your responsibilities will include generating new funding proposals, preparing comprehensive research reports, and contributing to educational and communication activities.

Reporting directly to the project Principal Investigator (PI) or Area Coordinator (AC), you will be a key resource professional in your designated area.
 

Primary Responsibilities include

· Mentorship: Collaborate closely with Project Associates/Research Associates , providing guidance and mentorship to support their development and project contributions.
· Proposal Development: Develop innovative proposal ideas and identify new funding opportunities in collaboration with senior colleagues.
· Project Implementation: Execute project activities as per the responsibilities assigned by the project PI, ensuring timely and effective completion of tasks.
· Research Contributions: Contribute to the preparation of detailed research reports, scientific publications, and other forms of dissemination materials.
· Continuous Learning: Keep abreast of the latest developments and advancements in your field of specialization to ensure the application of cutting-edge practices.
· Meeting Participation: Attend and actively contribute to project meetings, providing insights and updates on your areas of responsibility.
· Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed experimental records, ensuring compliance with documentation standards.
· Compliance: Adhere to ISO, Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) guidelines, as well as other quality protocols relevant to the research activities.
· Data Analysis: Perform comprehensive data analysis and submit experimental reports as required by the project scope.
· Document Management: Organize and maintain project data and documents according to the methodology prescribed by the PI or AC.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
· Proficiency in statistical analysis and relevant software (e.g., R, SAS, SPSS).
· Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
· Knowledge of sustainable agricultural practices and technologies.
· Familiarity with modern agricultural equipment and methodologies.
