About Job Profile

Project Management/Coordination

The Program Officer is responsible for leadership and management of assigned projects related to research activities, partner coordination, work planning, reporting, communications, budget and contracts/administration.

Primary Responsibilities include

 

  • Coordinate with project teams under the Right of Passage big idea and assist Project Head in ensuring project implementation and deliverables is on track.
  • Coordinate with the Green Corridor Champion teams (conservation partners) on ground to ensure the deliverables committed are received on time and provide technical assistance to them.
  • Update the Right of Passage publication collating information from all relevant sources.
  • Assist the team in identifying and building more strategic partnerships under the project in the elephant and tiger corridors.
  • Involve in conducting necessary skill-development trainings of the on-ground teams in consultation with Project Head.
  • Undertake relevant field visits for monitoring, project evaluation and development of projects related to elephant corridors.
  • Assist the project head in database management, analysis and reporting related to all elephant corridors projects.
  • Assist in developing relevant funding proposals, concepts and publications for the elephant corridors projects.
  • Develop relevant technical reports and donor reports under the project.
  • Coordinate with Wild Aid team to ensure the fund disbursement schedule to GCCs are on track and putting timely reminders to the teams for necessary document submission.
  • Monitor the progress of the ongoing projects of the division on a monthly basis.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Knowledge of ecological sampling, analysis and interpretation
  • Experience in ecological monitoring and fieldwork.
  • Working knowledge of analytical software like R, GIS is preferable.
