Granules India and Central Bureau of Narcotics launch awareness drive against drug abuse

Hyderabad, June 29, 2023. Granules India, a leading vertically integrated pharmaceutical company, has joined forces with the Central Bureau of Narcotics to launch an impactful awareness drive against drug abuse on the occasion of the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. Contributing to the Bureau's vision of creating a drug-free society, Granules organized a series of engaging activities at Sarath City Capital Mall in Hyderabad as part of its ongoing CSR initiative.

These activities included:

- Street play to create awareness against drugs: The event featured a powerful street play aimed at shedding light on the grave issue of drug misuse. The play delivered a strong message, emphasizing the importance of awareness and the collective responsibility we hold in combating drug abuse.

- Quiz on drug abuse to test the audience's knowledge: A quiz contest was conducted to test participants' understanding of drug abuse and its associated risks. The quiz not only served as an engaging activity but also provided valuable information, empowering individuals with the necessary tools to make informed choices.

- Medical talk by a health expert to discuss, identify, and prevent drug abuse: A renowned expert in the field of drug abuse delivered a compelling medical talk, shedding light on the physiological and psychological effects of drug abuse on the human body. The expert emphasized the urgent need for a collective effort in combating drug abuse and nurturing a society that is sensitive to the dangers of drug addiction.

Through these initiatives, the collaboration between Granules India and the Central Bureau of Narcotics aimed to foster a sense of responsibility and create awareness among individuals, families, and communities about the perils of drug abuse. By capturing the attention of local audiences, they hoped to spark conversations and ignite positive change in society.
