New Delhi, November 5, 2022: Tata Power Delhi Distribution (Tata Power-DDL) has launched a sustainability campaign ‘Green Warriors’ aimed at bringing awareness among school children towards environment, global warming, and sustainable future.
According to the Tata Power-DDL officials, the campaign seeks to sensitize young minds about the global warming and its adverse effects on the planet. It is in line with India’s climate change goals. The campaign is open for all school students. As part of the campaign, students from classes 3 to 10 have been invited to share innovative ideas to help save the environment, reduce & control global warming, and build a greener tomorrow in the form of short videos (maximum duration 1 minute).
Students can send their video entries in the form of poem, dance, act etc. The top 10 entries will win prizes worth ₹50,000 (maximum ₹ 10,000 per winning entry) along with certificates of participation for every participant. The winning entries will also be featured across company’s social media platforms. The entries can be sent via WhatsApp on +91 9871655629. The participants have to mention their name, city and contact number while sharing the entry. The last date of submission of entry is 30th November 2022.
The campaign is a part of the energy conservation initiative under the company’s ‘Club Enerji’ program. Speaking on the initiative, Mr. Ganesh Srinivasan, CEO of Tata Power-DDL, said, “We at Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited feel that young turks are the torchbearers of a greener tomorrow and hold immense power to shape a brighter future. Through Green Warriors campaign, we aim to encourage these young superheroes to share their innovative/ creative ideas around global warming and sensitize the young generation about the adverse effects of climate change. The prime focus of this initiative is to acknowledge the adverse effects of climate change and the need for being future-ready for a greener tomorrow.”
The campaign will also spread awareness using Social Media and on-ground activities. The entries will be judged by an eminent jury comprising of senior officials from Tata Power-DDL.
